MATH What is a number talk? A number talk is a short exercise aimed at building number sense. It is a bridge between conceptual understanding (learning with lessons with your curriculum), and abstract mental math (arriving to the answer in different ways and applying it to real life). They support learning the math concepts, as well as language. Number talks are fun!! Try them with your student(s)! |

For those of you that have kinesthetic learners (Hands-on) look ahead in your student's curriculum to find what manipulatives can be used to support their learning. By looking ahead, we can put the order in during our learning period meeting and have it in time for their lessons! Some manipulative ideas are below:
